Thai Yoga Massage is more than just a massage. It’s a holistic approach to wellness. Our Thai massage is performed the traditional way; fully clothed on a mat on the floor, incorporating stretches, twists and compressions for a full body treatment akin to Yoga. Our treatment starts at the feet as you let your RMT know what is going on in your body and what you would like to work on during the treatment. The massage allows you to zone out the noise and focus inward on your body. Breathing techniques are encouraged throughout the treatment. Relax and restore during a wonderful and unique massage experience that leaves you feeling fantastic.
Our treatments range from 60 – 120 minutes (Traditional Thai massage is usually a minimum of 90 minutes). We treat all types of musculo-skeletal issues, sports injuries, motor vehicle and other accidents, pre-natal and post-natal as well as just to de-stress and restore balance.
Coming soon: Thai herbal heat therapy with herbal compresses.

What is Thai Massage?
Your first step to a new wellness ritual.
Thai massage is an effective, relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Beginning at your feet and moving up to your head, the RMT puts you into a variety of twists, stretches and positions to help with circulation, body awareness and overall wellbeing. Compressions, joint mobilization, acupressure and breathing techniques combine to make a dance-like treatment. Un-THAI your knots with a 60, 90 or 120 minute Thai massage.
We look forward to making you feel amazing.
Meet Liz
Liz Christo, RMT is the owner and founder of Nirvana Retreats. She has been learning, giving and receiving Thai massages since 2008, when she discovered this ancient healing art at the Thai Massage Toronto studio on Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada. Liz realized quickly what a powerful tool Thai massage was for recovering from injury and increasing flexibility and body awareness. She was attuned to the Buddhist philosophies and ‘Metta’ (loving kindness) which allowed her intuition for touch and compassion for others to be expressed through this treatment. In 2009 – 2010, Liz took an extended trip to Thailand, where she immersed herself in the Thai culture and surrounded herself with talented Thai massage practitioners.
Upon Liz’s return from Thailand, she opened up a Thai massage and Yoga studio called “Urban Nirvana”. She brought the authentic Thai design to her oasis in downtown Toronto, with raised platforms, silk curtains separating the treatment spaces and artwork and music to recreate the experience of a traditional massage in a Thai temple. After 5 years of growing the business and treating her loyal clientele, Liz sold the business and in 2016, went to CCMH (Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy) for an intensive 18 month course to become an RMT. She specialized in hospital treatments for people with Continuing Complex Care from everything from motor vehicle accidents to spinal fusions and everything in between.
Liz moved up to Tottenham with her family and is excited to bring her passion for Thai massage along with her knowledge of the human body and it’s ailments to her new clients.
